About the service
Turcodex Website Review is operated by Jason Turco, doing business as Turcodex, Asbury Park, New Jersey.
Turcodex Website Review reads public business website pages and returns zero to three findings with wording you can paste into your website.
Information used for a review
The plugin receives the website URL you ask it to review and, if you provide it, your business type. It does not require a Turcodex account or login details. It does not connect to your analytics, dashboard, repository or private files.
It reads up to five public pages on the same site, follows robots.txt rules and applies request timeouts and size limits. Your website's server receives these requests with a Turcodex Website Review user agent and the hosting server's network address. That website may keep its own request logs.
Page content is processed in memory for the review. The plugin does not save fetched page content after the request. It returns page addresses, facts and relevant excerpts to ChatGPT so the answer can explain what it found. Rate-limit memory holds the website's hostname and a request count, never page content or IP addresses. Expired inactive counters are removed when the limiter next runs, or when the server instance ends.
Application logs
The plugin writes two kinds of operational records in deployed environments:
- Request records: HTTP method, response status, duration in milliseconds, error code, number of pages fetched, and counts of fetch errors by code.
- Review records: a random run identifier, timestamp, business-model category, check identifiers and statuses, and the ordered finding-candidate identifiers.
These application records do not contain your submitted URL, website domain, business-type input, fetched text or conversation. They help diagnose failures and check whether reviews follow the product rules. The business-model category is a derived classification, such as visit-us, come-to-you, remote or online-only.
Cookies, tracking and children
The plugin does not use cookies, display ads or track you. Turcodex does not sell personal information or share it for advertising. The plugin is not directed at children under 13.
Hosting and ChatGPT
The plugin is hosted on Vercel. Vercel also processes infrastructure and security information, such as incoming request paths, hostnames, IP addresses and user agents, separately from the application records listed above. Requests from ChatGPT may use OpenAI's network addresses. Vercel's own records are governed by Vercel's privacy policy.
On the current Hobby plan, Vercel makes runtime logs available for one hour. That runtime-log window does not describe all Vercel security records or backup retention.
OpenAI handles your ChatGPT conversation, the tool request and its results under OpenAI's privacy policy. Your conversation stays in ChatGPT under OpenAI's control. Turcodex can't access or delete it.
Questions and changes
Because reviews and page content aren't stored, there's usually nothing to access or delete. You can email us with questions.
Contact jason@turcodex.com with privacy questions. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include. Do not send passwords or private page content. This policy describes plugin reviews; the Turcodex website's own privacy policy covers use of turcodex.com.
We will update this policy when the service's handling of information changes and show the new effective date here.
